Billie B. Vines, Jr.

Credentials: Bill Vines has a B.S. in Biology and a Master’s degree in Public Administration from Wichita State University. Mr. Vines has been working in public health locally since 1984 and has had State of Kansas teaching credentials since 1997 teaching principles of water protection to local trades since that time through this association locally and across the state. Mr. Vines is the Region 12 American Backflow Prevention Association Director for the State of Kansas and serves on the Executive Board of the National ABPA.

Brad Palmer
Credentials: Brad has been working with Pentair for almost 3 years as a Territory Sales Manager.  He covers Kansas, Nebraska, Iowa, and Missouri and sell all Pentair products related to pumps and accessories for residential water systems, agricultural and irrigation systems.

Jeff Johnson
Credentials: Jeff Johnson Training HVAC dealers to sell, size, install and service geothermal heat pumps and loop fields is just the beginning of what makes Jeff sensational in the classroom. He brings over 22 years of experience from a diverse background in geothermal to offer complete training and insight to those who take his classes. In fact, he spent six years as a Regional Sales Manager and Technical Advisor at GeoSystems, where he mentored others how to achieve success in the industry. He’s also assisted in the authoring and technical editing of installation and operation manuals, meaning students can learn more from his depth of knowledge and passion for this technology. Jeff is IGSHPA certified and studied Marketing and Sales at the University of Minnesota Duluth.

Credentials: Jeff has been a teacher at the Local 29 JATC for 14 years. He has completed OSHA 500 and OSHA 502. Jeff has been a sheet metal worker for over 30 years, working with cranes and rigging over this time period.

 John Clark

Credentials: John Clark has 31 years’ experience in Commercial and Mechanical Plumbing. Member of the Plumbers and Pipefitters Local Union #441 and Plumbing code instructor for 17 years. He holds master plumbing license, backflow certification, and medical gas certification. John completed 5 years’ instructor training program for the United Association. He worked at Central Air Conditioning for 30 years, and started teaching July 2016 as the full time instructor at PPATKS as the Plumbing Instructor.

Michael Weaver

Credentials: Michael R. Weaver began his career as an apprentice electrician with a local private contractor. After 10 years, he became a Block-Experior Certified Master Electrician and with his wife, started their own electrical contracting business, which they operated for over 20 years. Mr. Weaver is a Principal of C&M Enterprises in Salina, Kansas and develops and presents electrical and safety based training programs for contractors, tradesmen, design professionals, and code officials.


As a nationally recognized instructor and trainer, he is routinely entrusted with the

responsibility of providing education for the International Code Council®, the

International Association of Electrical Inspectors®, various municipalities and

government jurisdictions across the nation, and private industry.


He is an experienced trainer / presenter of the National Electrical Code®, Part VIII of the International Residential Code®, and NFPA 70E®. Mike is a national instructor for the International Code Council, a national instructor for the International Association of Electrical Inspectors®, a member of the National Fire Protection Association® (NFPA®), the International Association of Electrical Inspectors® (IAEI®), the International Code Council® (ICC®), and the International Association of Building Officials® (IABO®). He is currently an IRC® and NEC® subject matter expert for the International Code Council®.


He is the author of Dwelling Service and Feeder Calculations, Commercial

Service and feeder Calculations and NEC ® Electrical Calculations, while

continuing to develop a series of study guides based upon the latest code cycle of

the NEC®.

Robert Giesen

Credentials: Robert Giesen was born and educated in Wichita, Kansas, receiving a Bachelor of Science Degree from Friends University in 1963. He taught Vocational Education after graduation, and started B & B Electric Motor Co. on October 1, 1969. He has been in the industry for 55 years, and president/owner of B & B Electric Motor Co. for 45 years. He is a past president of several associations and organizations, which include, Heart of America Chapter of EASA, Electrical Trades Advisory Council for the Wichita Area Technical College, and the Business Advisory Council for the Wichita area Workforce Center. He serves as a director or trustee of several organizations, and served six years as International Director for the Electrical Apparatus Service Association a worldwide trade association of electric motor shop owners. He is currently a member of the Wichita
Area IV Workforce Alliance Board and a member of the Wichita Area Chamber of Commerce.
