Kansas does not have a State Board for Plumbing or Mechanical Trades.

Below Are Continuing Education Requirements to Renew a MABCD License
Renewals
*You must have the CEUs COMPLETED by the expiration of your certificate. There are no exceptions.
Twelve CEUs must be completed by the certificate expiration.
Each year every Journeyman and Master are required to complete three (3) trade specific CEUs AND three(3) general CEUs. Certificates are good for two years. This means that six(6) hours of CEUs relating to your specific trade PLUS six(6) hours of CEUs of general trade education must be completed to renew your certificate.
Additional CEU hours will be required if the trades person allows their certificate to expire. The table below shows the additional hours and actions if the certificate expires.
Certificate Expire Period Same Year | Additional Hours Above Required Hours |

April 1 through June 30 | 1.5 hours |
July 1 through August 31 | 3 hours |
